Summer fun

Who is ready for beach days, patio dining, and grilling out?? We are! Those days are on their way. And we want to be ready. Every girl needs a few cute, summertime dresses in her back pocket. We collected a few that really inspire and excite us.

Our go-to this spring and summer, daytime and evening? Maxi skirts and dresses! We love the boho, laid back feel they have. It's an easy look to pull off. The sweatpants of summertime, if you will! We think this one by Zara is perfect for an evening out. The bold print is gorgeous. And we think the v-neck would look great on some many body types. Pop on your sandals or wedges and you're out the door!

Soon you will be sporting a tan. And a lighter color dress looks so great against tanned, summer skin. Whether it be poolside or out on the town. Check out this gingham sundress by Modcloth! Well, we aren't in Kansas anymore! We love the strappy tank top and flow-y skirt. This would be a great outfit pick for Memorial Day later on this month!

A little floral dress is a great thing to keep in your back pocket. It will do in a pinch! Put it over your bathing suit or wear it out to lunch! Our pick this time around? This beautiful dress by Band of Outsiders! It that great flow-y and fun shape. It's going to work for so many different events. A great everyday dress too!

Hopefully this will keep you inspired as things start to heat up! Keep it fresh and fun!

Playing with the big boys

A big trend that we saw on the runways for fall was menswear for women. We love the blend of both masculine and feminine aspects to create this cool look. This look incorporates patterns like herringbone and looks like vests and jackets. It's so easy to replicate this look into an everyday look for work or play. Check out some of our favorite pieces.

Wow! This Lanvin dress is a perfect mash up of both men's and women's fashion. The sharp, crisp lines are rather masculine. The mock the look of a suit jacket. And the pattern is seen in both men's and women's fashion. But the waist accent and top of the dress are very feminine. What a great dress for work or a semi formal event. Try adding very feminine accents like pearls or a pop of bright color to make a real statement.

Menswear isn't all suits and plaid. The casual side of menswear also works for women. This Alexander Wang sweater is a perfect example of that. It has an oversized, very casual look to it. It's perfect for casual Saturdays. Pair it with leggings to complete the comfortable look. Wear your hair in curls and accessorize!

Shorts?! In fall and winter? Yes! We love this look! Pair a super tailored pair of shorts like this pair by Sandro Poupee with a peter pan collared button up shirt. Wear a pair of tights underneath the shorts to make it more fall appropriate. Wear your hair up in a top knot and accessorize with a headband. What a fun look for running errands or going to lunch with friends!

Fun in the sun!

Summer is halfway over and we have yet to cover one of our favorite summer clothing items.... Sundresses! Oh, a good sundress really put a smile on our face. They are the perfect late summer clothing item. They are light and airy so you can keep cool in that August heat. And they are an easy option! You only need to pick out one clothing item. How easy is that!

Elle shared 18 summer sundresses to wear right now. We loved all of them but we're just going to share a few with you today. Let's jump on in!

Wow! Check out the colors in this dress! We're in love with this Dolce and Gabbana sundress. The shape is so classic! This could easily be seen on any woman in the 50's or 60's. And the buttons are just precious. As far as styling, we would recommend a up-do. It's going to give more attention to the stripes and colors on the dress. Wear simple pearl earrings to continue the classic look the dress is bringing. Keep it simple and light!

If you are fond of floral prints but a little bored by the same old same old, this Zara dress might be perfect for you! That's a whole lot of color!! But don't worry! You can pull it off! These colors are really going to pop against your tanned skin. And the simple shape is certain to flatter a variety of body types. Live it up before the summer is over!

A bright colored sundress is a must have. Neutrals are great and all but nothing beats a pop of color! This Topshop dress certainly has that pop! It's a really beautiful shade of yellow. You're like a ray of sunshine! And the detail on the bodice adds a real soft, feminine look. Wear your hand down is loose, tossed curls. This is the perfect dress to wear as you soak in those last moments of summertime.

Did you have a favorite sundress? Are you going to run out and treat your self to one of these? Do it! Trust us! You'll get plenty of time to wear it before the summer is over. And when it starts to get cool? Add a pair of oxfords and a chunky cardigan! It's so easy to transition your summer clothes to fall with just a few items!

Zee dress!

Happy Monday! We had a really amazing weekend at Thunder in the Mountains. It was amazing to see so many of your faces and sell our latex! We can't believe it's over! But, we're finally getting back on our schedule. We have a outfit of the week for you!
We just love the style and structure of our Z Dress Pinch Top! This style is bit different from other pieces in our dresses section. The is a collar around the neck. We think it adds length and slims beautifully.

The cap sleeve style is also very remarkable! They lead to a pinch, ruched effect that connects the sleeves to the bodice. And the cutout in the collar to upper cleavage area is just the prefect amount of exposure! It shows off the perfect amount of skin.

All of these elements combined really give this dress the look of elegance. Sizes go from a small to an XX-large. We love this dress in the smokey, translucent grey shown but there are also plenty of of other color choices! A simple hairstyle and a great pair of heels would really complete this ensemble!

And that's all folks! Have a great start to your week!

Summer dreaming

Happy Friday, peeps! We're weekend ready! The weather's great and we're already dreaming about summer. Our outfit of the week takes some inspiration from that!
It's the Halter Mini Dress: a shorter version of the Halter Dress! We really love halter neckline for summer. And the scooped neckline looks great too! You'll really be able to show off your tan!

It's definitely a dress that's sure to help you flaunt your stuff! The slim fit looks great on the body. And it is a mini so the length is super short! Warning: this dress will focus all the eyes in the room on you!

And the simplicity of the dress allows for lots of accessories! Take a look at what we have to offer in the ways of gloves and stockings. TheLatexStore.com mini halter dress is a must for your latex collection :)

Have a wonderful weekend, folks!

Easter Sunday Style

Believe it or not, Easter is this Sunday. It feels like it was just Christmas! Don't get us wrong. We're excited for this holiday that marks the start of spring. It's the perfect time to show off your new spring dress, hat or pair of shoes. If you're still deciding on what to wear, we can help! Here's our take on Easter Sunday fashion.

When it comes to choosing what to wear, it's good to think cute but also modest. But that doesn't mean grandma style! Glamour magazine recently posted about Easter fashion. We loved all the pieces they showed us. Our favorite has to be the Kimchi blue Alabama dress from Urban Outfitters. It's a great loose-fitting shift dress. It's a great basic dress that is really easy to accessorize. This dress seems comfortable enough to wear all day long. Plus, it won't be completely impractical when you're dashing to and fro, searching for Easter eggs.

We also loved the pair of brocade pants from J.Crew. They have such a fun design and are a bit dressier. We think they would look great paired with a white button down peter pan colored blouse, a gold statement necklace and ballet flats. It's a great way to look dressy but also stay comfortable. And we are all about comfort!

We found another fun article on Vogue talking all about Easter hats. There are still some out there who go all out, sporting giant hats. But for those of us who aren't as daring, there are other choices! We loved the cloche hat. It's so retro and cute. And we find it to be festive and fun. If the one from Barneys isn't quite in your price range, we suggest Target! We just saw some adorable cloche styles hats in stock the other day.

We hope our little Easter style guide has inspired you! And we wish you a Happy Easter! May the Easter bunny leave you the biggest chocolate bunny of them all!
