Something blue

It's so hard to stay in the moment. We're always looking towards the next thing, planning ahead. It's a good habit for sure. But it's also important to be present. So on that note, we want to think on spring! It's absolutely lovely out there and we have been waiting all winter long. So, let's breathe some life into that closet of yours. It's easy!

If this doesn't say spring, we really don't know what does! This shift from Rejina Pyo is just the look we are going for this season. Light blue material and straps. Easy to pair with a sweater or cardigan on chilly mornings. And can we talk about the precious button detail? What a great piece for everyday wear. Perfect for all those adventures you'll be going on! Just pair with a basic pair of white sneakers and go!

Jean is big right now! Shorts, pants, skirts, overalls... you name it! Even dresses. Just like this piece from J. Crew. It's a bold piece but is actually a rather playful look. Once again, we're all about those buttons! And it can easily be dressed up or down. We would pair this dress with light floral prints for the day. Maybe a scarf worn in the hair or belt? And go for bold solid colors for an evening look!!

Fall boot guide

You know what fall means? Boots! So many boots! We really can't wait. So we're sharing some favorites with you today.

A pair of riding boots are classic. They pair perfectly with sweaters, jeans and long sleeved dresses. They are perfect for the workplace and weekend excursions. This pair from Chinese Laundry are just perfect. We love the reddish brown color. And the gold metal details are really beautiful. Try pairing these boots with neutrals and jewel tones. They are sure to complete any fall outfit.

Ankle boots are another fun pair of boots to accessorize with. They certainly pack some sass! If you're looking for a more high fashion look, these are perfect for you. You can wear them with skirts at the office or for dinner. Then, pair them with tight jeans for a concert. We love this pair from J. Crew. The basic black color goes with everything. And the wrap around strap and simple buckle adds just enough to this basic pair of boots.

Military style is very big this fall. That means army green jackets, brass buttons and you guessed it... combat boots! They lace up and have fun, worn look to them. We love to pair them with girly clothing pieces. A floral skirt, a lace top or a over sized hair bow. We can't wait to jump into a pile of leaves while wearing a pair. The Steve Madden Troopas are the perfect basic pair of combat boots. The stitching and faded gold details are just so classic. You need a pair of these this fall!

As we began to change and add to our wardrobe for summer, we're always looking for pieces that can work in every season. These timeless pieces can seamlessly transition season after season, year after year. Gold jewelry falls into this category. From bright colors in the summer, sweaters in the fall, neutrals in the winter and floral in the spring. No matter the weather, gold jewelry just works!

We're in love with this whimsical gold whistle necklace by J.Crew. It's so delicate and fun! This long necklace will work with so many outfits. Try it with a simple tank top for the summer or a button down top on cooler days. This is a piece you'll wear over and over again.

A simple pair of studs will really serve you well. They are so versatile. We love these gold, spherical asos stud earrings. The have a fun, vintage look to them. Their simple style makes them easy enough to wear with almost anything! We're talking sundresses to baggy sweaters. A simple pair of gold studs like these are a necessity!

We're swooning over this Giles and Brother skinny gold cuff. It's so sleek and delicate. It's going to look beautiful on your wrist. Wear it by on it's own or stack it with other bracelets. It's great for casual summer outfits. We don't think we can resist!

This Sarah Chloe heartbeat ring is just too cool! It's a great conversation piece. If you tend to lean towards unique, interesting jewelry, this one is for you. Rings are great for all seasons. They always add flair and fun to an outfit.

Warm and cozy

It doesn't quite feel like fall yet. It's still pretty warm outside! And we really wish it would be a bit cooler outside. We can't help but dream of bundling up. Shearling is in! That fur look is very popular this late fall and winter. We'll share some of our favorites with you!

Furry vests. We admit, we love them! They are kind of neat and out there. But they are warm and add a bit of high fashion to your wardrobe. You'll be a winter goddess! This white fur vest from Michael Kors is really wonderful. Wear a solid color long sleeve tee underneath and pair it with a bold statement necklace.
We really like this crystal wildflowers necklace from J. Crew. It looks like ice and really rounds out this winter princess look.

These Burberry boots are way cool! We love the heeled ankle style boot right now. You can wear them with pants, leggings and skirts. And these add in the shearling aspect quite well. And they are going to be quite cozy on your feet. They are like a high fashion bootie and a pair of work boots had a love child. We're digging it! Try pairing them with plaid for a more femine lumberjack kind of look. Let's get cozy!

Cooler weather will be here before we know it! Get out there and start picking out the softest sweaters and warmest boots for winter!

Crossbodys and clutches!

Recently, we have ditched our big old handbags and switch to much smaller ones! Who needs the hassle of a giant bag in the summer? Between traveling, shopping and having fun in the sun, a big bag just won't do. It really weighs you down!

Plus, with a small bag you can carry just the essentials. You'll find you really don't need all the things you carry around. Elle just shared some really cute small handbags and we can't wait to share our favorites with you! Let's go!

Rebecca Minkoff has beautiful bags. We love the mini macs! But this white, studded bag is really unique! White in summer is pretty bold but if you can pull it off, it looks amazing! It will go with so many outfits. It's big enough to fit the essentials. Leave the rest at home! You're a free spirit!

We love lighter colored bags for summer. The pastel colors are really beautiful. This pale pink bag from J. Crew is a beauty! We love the structured shape. It's really unique! And the gold hardware is so gorgeous! this is a bag that you can use over and over again. What do you think?

So, what do you think? Out with the big and in with the small? We think so! Share with us what you think on our Twitter! And have a fabulous weekend!

Easter Sunday Style

Believe it or not, Easter is this Sunday. It feels like it was just Christmas! Don't get us wrong. We're excited for this holiday that marks the start of spring. It's the perfect time to show off your new spring dress, hat or pair of shoes. If you're still deciding on what to wear, we can help! Here's our take on Easter Sunday fashion.

When it comes to choosing what to wear, it's good to think cute but also modest. But that doesn't mean grandma style! Glamour magazine recently posted about Easter fashion. We loved all the pieces they showed us. Our favorite has to be the Kimchi blue Alabama dress from Urban Outfitters. It's a great loose-fitting shift dress. It's a great basic dress that is really easy to accessorize. This dress seems comfortable enough to wear all day long. Plus, it won't be completely impractical when you're dashing to and fro, searching for Easter eggs.

We also loved the pair of brocade pants from J.Crew. They have such a fun design and are a bit dressier. We think they would look great paired with a white button down peter pan colored blouse, a gold statement necklace and ballet flats. It's a great way to look dressy but also stay comfortable. And we are all about comfort!

We found another fun article on Vogue talking all about Easter hats. There are still some out there who go all out, sporting giant hats. But for those of us who aren't as daring, there are other choices! We loved the cloche hat. It's so retro and cute. And we find it to be festive and fun. If the one from Barneys isn't quite in your price range, we suggest Target! We just saw some adorable cloche styles hats in stock the other day.

We hope our little Easter style guide has inspired you! And we wish you a Happy Easter! May the Easter bunny leave you the biggest chocolate bunny of them all!
