Summer lovin

Hello readers! Summer is fast approaching. Can you believe that Memorial Day is just a few days away? Let's hear it for the three day weekend!! And it's time to start adding some white back into our wardrobes. Check out some our favorite white summer frocks!

First up? Something simple and feminine. Airy, lacy and strappy! Yep, here it is. We adore this dress by H&M. It's just elegant and perfect for summer. And what a great base for accessorizing! Go for a more natural look with brown or tan accessories. Or be bold with bright splashes of color!

Soft and breezy is nice and all. There is a time and a place, that's for sure. But for those of us wanting to boldly bare some skin, this Topshop dress is it! Oh, we just love it!! That little knot detail is too cute. We are so into this fun retro style!! You'll be the belle of the ball...er, barbecue?

Okay... we had to throw it a wild card. You know us! But we are really digging this number by Zara! It's really different. To be honest, it kind of gives us that 70's bride feel. All you need is some baby's breath in your hair and you are set! But really, this could be a really fun look for summer. Groovy, baby!

Summer fun

Who is ready for beach days, patio dining, and grilling out?? We are! Those days are on their way. And we want to be ready. Every girl needs a few cute, summertime dresses in her back pocket. We collected a few that really inspire and excite us.

Our go-to this spring and summer, daytime and evening? Maxi skirts and dresses! We love the boho, laid back feel they have. It's an easy look to pull off. The sweatpants of summertime, if you will! We think this one by Zara is perfect for an evening out. The bold print is gorgeous. And we think the v-neck would look great on some many body types. Pop on your sandals or wedges and you're out the door!

Soon you will be sporting a tan. And a lighter color dress looks so great against tanned, summer skin. Whether it be poolside or out on the town. Check out this gingham sundress by Modcloth! Well, we aren't in Kansas anymore! We love the strappy tank top and flow-y skirt. This would be a great outfit pick for Memorial Day later on this month!

A little floral dress is a great thing to keep in your back pocket. It will do in a pinch! Put it over your bathing suit or wear it out to lunch! Our pick this time around? This beautiful dress by Band of Outsiders! It that great flow-y and fun shape. It's going to work for so many different events. A great everyday dress too!

Hopefully this will keep you inspired as things start to heat up! Keep it fresh and fun!

Hello spring!

Springtime is here! You know what we want to put on and never take off.... Sundresses! Oh, a good sundress is a wonderful thing ! What could be more perfect? They are light and airy so you can keep cool in that warm weather heat.

Wow! Check out the colors in this dress! We're in love with this Dolce and Gabbana sundress. The shape is so classic! This could easily be seen on any woman in the 50's or 60's. And the buttons are just precious. As far as styling, we would recommend a up-do. It's going to give more attention to the stripes and colors on the dress. Wear simple pearl earrings to continue the classic look the dress is bringing. Keep it simple and light!

If you are fond of floral prints but a little bored by the same old same old, this Zara dress might be perfect for you! That's a whole lot of color!! But don't worry! You can pull it off! These colors are really going to pop against your tanned skin. And the simple shape is certain to flatter a variety of body types.
A bright colored sundress is a must have. Neutrals are great and all but nothing beats a pop of color! This Topshop dress certainly has that pop! It's a really beautiful shade of yellow. You're like a ray of sunshine! And the detail on the bodice adds a real soft, feminine look. Wear your hand down is loose, tossed curls. This is the perfect dress to wear to a springtime wedding or Easter dinner.

Did you have a favorite sundress? Are you going to run out and treat your self to one of these? Do it! Trust us!

Groovy baby!

Happy first day of Spring! We told you there was a light at the end of that cold, snowy tunnel. So bring on the sunshine and flowers! Makes you want to embrace your inner flower child, huh? Well you are in luck. 70's fashion is back in for spring and summer. It's time for our version of flashback Friday!

You know what makes us think of the 70's? Wild, psychedelic patterns. Paisleys and all. Like this groovy frock by Topshop. Yeah, that's a lot of pattern. But we think it's really chic! Add in some basic gold jewelry and simple sandals. We think it's a great daytime look for the spring time. Embrace the colors of the season!

You know what's coming next. Fringe! You'll see it on boots, clothing and even bikini tops. But we think it looks great on handbags. Just like this brown fringe bag by Laura Vela. This the exact bag we want to bring with us on all those spring adventures. And the tassels? Perfect!

Now you don't have to go all out in bell bottoms and suede vests. We think little touches are great too. A piece here or there, with that 70's vibe. Like this beautiful statement necklace by Zara. We think it's a real conversation piece. And so different! It would look great against a basic black or white top.

Are you digging this 70's vibe for spring? Either way, spring is here! Be sure to celebrate those rising temperatures. Have a great weekend!

We're seeing plaid

It's fall, ya'll! And October! It's a wonderful time of the year, yes. We just want to celebrate! And the only way we could think of doing that is showing off some of our favorite plaid garments. We hope you enjoy.

One of our favorite fall outfits? Boots, leggings or jeans and a plaid button down top. Just like this one by Zara. It's such a simple fall look but so spot on. It just makes sense to us. And it's easy to dress up. Wear your hair up in a bun and add a necklace. Or just go casual. This is an outfit to keep in your back pocket for Mondays and nights out alike.

Oh, we really like this next one. Are you ready for this? We call it "girly lumberjack." Yeah, we just went there. But once you look at this Jack Spade bag, you'll understand. We just think this is a fun way to do fall.

Fall makes us want to adapt to this grungy, biker look. Cold is setting in and we want to toughen up. Anyone with us? Maybe, maybe not. But either way, look at these boots! The buckles, leather and plaid. We're obsessed.

Go out and enjoy the fall weather! And remember to embrace the plaid!

Mid-summer refresh!

We may be nearly halfway through summer but there are still some long, hot days ahead of us. And many more beach days and patio dining! And aren't you growing tired of the same old shorts and skirts? Let's be honest. You need some pieces to finish out this summer in style! Sundresses to be exact. We have a few in mind...

Our go-to this summer, daytime and evening? Maxi skirts and dresses! We love the boho, laid back feel they have. It's an easy look to pull off. The sweats of summertime, if you will! We think this one by Zara is perfect for an evening out. The bold print is gorgeous. And we think the v-neck would look great on some many body types. Pop on your sandals or wedges and you're out the door!

A white or cream color looks so great against tanned, summer skin. It looks great poolside or out on the town. Check out this little number! We're pretty sure it will make you look like a grecian goddess! We love the little cinched in waist and flow-y skirt. Pair this one with gold accents. Maybe chunky braids in your hair? What a great summertime look!

A little floral dress is a great thing to keep in your back pocket. It will do in a pinch! Put it over your bathing suit or wear it out to lunch! Our pick this time around? This classic style from Topshop! It that great, almost retro shape. It's going to work for so many different events. A great everyday dress too!

Hopefully this will keep you inspired for the rest of this long and hot summer! Keep it fresh and fun!

We're thinking black and white!

There's no doubt about it. We love bright colors! But nothing beats classic black and white. Black and white clothing is classy, classic and simple. It's a great look for the warm weather or anytime of the year! Today, we're sharing some of our favorite black and while clothing pieces.

Black and white striped jeans are our wish list. And this pair of black and white striped jeans by Hudson are really up our alley! They are quite a statement. Depending on what you wear on to top, you can really dress these up or rock them out. We find them to to be really versatile.

This swimsuit takes us straight back to the 1950's! We're in love with this two piece bandeau swimsuit by Norma Kamali. It's a very different style from most of the suits we're seeing this summer. The twisted style of the top is so interesting! You'll surely gain a few compliments in this bathing suit!
What a classic pair of heels by Zara! These shoes will easily transition with the seasons and years. The basic style and classic color scheme are so versatile. We think these would look great paired with any of our dresses. If you're looking for a new pair of heels, these could be just the pair!

Black and white. Do you love this classic combination? How would you wear some of these pieces? Or are you going to stick to patterns and colors? let us know what you think!

Time to spend that tax refund!!

The day after tax day. Tax return or not... You need to a little retail therapy. It's been a long, cold winter for most of us. And it's time to blow off some steam. What's number one on our list? Dresses! We can't resist. Let's bare some skin and get girly!

Maxi dresses are back. And they're so in! They give you a great, laid back boho look. They easily transition from running errands to happy hour drinks with the girls. We fancy this one by Zara. We like tank effect it has up top. And the criss cross in the back is so classic. Pair with a delicate, long necklace and leather sandals. Perfection!

Did we mention baring skin? Good. Because our next dress bares plenty of it. We're lusting after this Tibi Sonoron dress. Do you see those lovely cutouts on the sides? The break up the clash between the two patterns. Perfect! We're dying over this dress!! Try adding in simple bursts of color. They will make the white patterns really pop!

The next one is a bit of a wild card... But there's just something about it. This Cedric Charlier dress is like a flash of modern art across your body. How very spring, don't you think? We like the mix of classic shape with an unconventional pattern. Spring is all about new beginnings. Maybe this will be yours?

Oh course, a latex dress is always appropriate as well. We have dozens to choose from. Come on, we know that refund is just burning a hole in your pocket ;)

Make a statement!!

Want us to let you in on one of our favorite trends? Statement necklaces. They are popping up everywhere and the look is perfect for spring! We're seen them on celebs, in ads, on Pinterest boards and out in public. We're in love! We couldn't help but pair some of these beauties with our latex. It was just too tempting! Check out our combinations and see if anything catches your eye.

Baublebar is one of our favorite online stores for jewelry. They offer tons of beautiful, quality pieces of jewelry. Their Neon Alaqua Bib necklace is so unique! We love the interesting color combination. It's so bright and eye catching. We would pair this piece with our Candice dress.

We think the scooping sweetheart neckline of the Candice would compliment the necklace very well. It's going to allow to really showcase the necklace. What a fun summertime look! If you're searching for something to spice up your wardrobe, a statement necklace may be just the thing!

We love the variety of statement necklaces out there. Check out this piece by Zara. We love the color scheme. It's a really beautiful combination. We think it's a great pick if you are craving something different and a bit adventurous. This piece would compliment our Stella dress beautifully.

We like the classy, elegant look both pieces have. The plunging v-neck would match up very well with the large, statement necklace. We think it creates a really wonderful classic look.

This summer, statement jewelry is where it's at! It's a great way to add some variety to your look. It's a pretty bold trend but we know we're going to embrace it! Will you? Let us know what you think!

Easing back in

Can you think of a single word to describe how we are all feeling right now? Hmmmm. Oh, we think we got it! Ugh. The holidays are over and the new year is here. It's time to take down the decorations, make your resolutions and most importantly, return to reality! Well, after the weekend is over. Let's ease back into it, shall we? How do we propose this you ask?

Beanies. Slouchy knitted hats that provide warmth, a laid back look and the perfect solution to a bad hair day. They may be the perfect thing for these next few days of "I don't wanna!" Plus, they are going to aid all winter long as we battle the cold and snow. Trust us!

Beanies are great. What makes the even better? A giant pom pom! It's so cute and kind of reminds us of something we would wear as a kid. Check out this mustard yellow hat for Zara. It's on our wish list for sure! We think it would look great paired with a grey or army green colored coat. Add some tight pants and heeled booties... now that's a good look. So casual yet extremely cute!

If you have a more urban style, the next hat is perfect for you. We are really digging the beanies with text on them. You have seen them all over the place! They are really popular right now. If we we're going to buy one,  it would have to be this one from Topshop. Mix it into an outfit with a leather moto jacket and a chunky gold chain necklace. What an awesome, hip hop style outfit. Is that a look you may go for in 2014?

And nothing is wrong with a basic beanie. It goes with nearly everything and will surely serve it's purpose... keeping your head warm! The go with any jacket, coat or sweater. And they capture that classic winter look. We would pick this hat from Madewell. It looks super cozy and we love the burgundy color. You can't go wrong with this hat.

It's not all bad! We have a whole new year in front of us. We're excited to take it all on. We can't wait to travel, meet more of you and debut our latest latex line. Of course, there are sure to be a few surprises along the way. We hope you'll come along with us. Happy New Year from the Latex Store to you!

Flats on flats on flats!

Heels are great and all... But sometimes flats are just the way to go! In fact, we like to sport a pair most days. They are easy to wear, go with everything and once you break them in, they are quite comfy! Check out a few of our favorites!

These are just perfect! We love these shiny burgundy flats from Zara. There is just something about red shoes! We can see these with tights and a plaid skirt. And pop on a turtleneck and a shiny, sparkling statement necklace. It's like school girl fashion all grown up! Or maybe your own version of one of Blair Waldorf's outfits from gossip girl? Either way, it's perfect for fall. And these flats are a must!

We love flats that look like animals! They are really something cute and fun for your feet! Check out these mouse flats by Marc Jacobs. Ahh!! We cannot handle them! Pop on your favorite pair of cropped trousers and a button up top! Maybe add in some big pearl earrings or a pearl necklace. Classy and adorable!

These flats are a bit more high end. But we just love them so much. The are these scalloped edge copper Chloe flats. They are so glitzy and beautiful! We would wear these with a black cocktail dress for a fall or winter party. Add a deep, berry color on your lips. What a festive look! Flats totally work for an evening look!

So, give your footsies a break! Rock a pair of flats this fall!
