It's getting hot in here!

Summer, we feel you. And what does it feel like? Uh, hot and miserable. Yeah, we said it! Wearing pants is really not an option. Hmmm. We're going to need more dresses...

Now that is what we are talking about!! Long, flowy and no sleeves. Jackpot! This adorable dress by Misa Los Angeles is really a dream come true. We love this easy, relaxed style. And those pom poms are so darling! We think this would be easy to pull off as a daytime look. Hopefully somewhere tropical??

I think we can all agree that the maxi dress is the equivalent of sweatpants. Don't worry! It's really a good thing! All the benefits of sweatpants without having to wear pants!! It's really a win win situation. Take this one by DVF. We cannot wait to chill poolside in this. We love that beautiful neckline too! Add some accessories and you have a perfect casual dinner outfit. We're into it!!

Try and stay cool out there! We'll see you next week!

Easy breezy!

Ya'll, it's time! The weather is right. And we know you have been thinking about it all winter long. It's time for warm weather dresses!! That's right. Go ahead and bring those out. Or go shopping...

We have really been digging this knit, crocheted look. We've been seeing this look popping up everywhere! And we love this halter style rendition from Mango.com. It such a fun and carefree look for the summer. So easy to wear alone or with a bathing suit at the beach. Such a different look! What do you think?

What's your ideal summer dress? Personally, we like something breezy and free. After all, keeping cool is the name of the game. This one by Tibi really hits the mark. We love those large cape sleeves. And the basic neutral pattern makes accessorizing a... breeze. Love it!

Okay, we are really digging this dress. It may not be for everybody... But we think it is so much fun! Everyone needs a little white dress for summertime. It sort of takes us back to the seventies... just a little more modern. Anyone up for a summer of love?

Summer fun

Who is ready for beach days, patio dining, and grilling out?? We are! Those days are on their way. And we want to be ready. Every girl needs a few cute, summertime dresses in her back pocket. We collected a few that really inspire and excite us.

Our go-to this spring and summer, daytime and evening? Maxi skirts and dresses! We love the boho, laid back feel they have. It's an easy look to pull off. The sweatpants of summertime, if you will! We think this one by Zara is perfect for an evening out. The bold print is gorgeous. And we think the v-neck would look great on some many body types. Pop on your sandals or wedges and you're out the door!

Soon you will be sporting a tan. And a lighter color dress looks so great against tanned, summer skin. Whether it be poolside or out on the town. Check out this gingham sundress by Modcloth! Well, we aren't in Kansas anymore! We love the strappy tank top and flow-y skirt. This would be a great outfit pick for Memorial Day later on this month!

A little floral dress is a great thing to keep in your back pocket. It will do in a pinch! Put it over your bathing suit or wear it out to lunch! Our pick this time around? This beautiful dress by Band of Outsiders! It that great flow-y and fun shape. It's going to work for so many different events. A great everyday dress too!

Hopefully this will keep you inspired as things start to heat up! Keep it fresh and fun!

And bustier style is so stylish. Take it any way you want. Add a flower in your hair for a laid back look or a statement necklace for a refined look.

It's important to protect your head from the sun! Have you ever had sunburn on your scalp? It's not fun. But baseball caps are so sporty... not for us! This eyelet one is a little more our speed. It's girly and perfect for a beach day. It's one of our top summer picks!

Summer dresses

Summer is on it's way and it's time to discuss one of our favorite things.... Sundresses! Oh, a good sundress is really happy making! What could be more perfect? They are light and airy so you can keep cool in that summer heat.

Wow! Check out the colors in this dress! We're in love with this Dolce and Gabbana sundress. The shape is so classic! This could easily be seen on any woman in the 50's or 60's. And the buttons are just precious. As far as styling, we would recommend a up-do. It's going to give more attention to the stripes and colors on the dress. Wear simple pearl earrings to continue the classic look the dress is bringing. Keep it simple and light!

If you are fond of floral prints but a little bored by the same old same old, this Zara dress might be perfect for you! That's a whole lot of color!! But don't worry! You can pull it off! These colors are really going to pop against your tanned skin. And the simple shape is certain to flatter a variety of body types. Live it up before the summer is over!

A bright colored sundress is a must have. Neutrals are great and all but nothing beats a pop of color! This Topshop dress certainly has that pop! It's a really beautiful shade of yellow. You're like a ray of sunshine! And the detail on the bodice adds a real soft, feminine look. Wear your hand down is loose, tossed curls. This is the perfect dress to wear as you soak in those last moments of summertime.

Did you have a favorite sundress? Are you going to run out and treat your self to one of these? Do it! Trust us! You'll get plenty of time to wear it before the summer is over. And when it starts to get cool? Add a pair of oxfords and a chunky cardigan! It's so easy to transition your summer clothes to fall with just a few items!

Let's take a look!

Kate Spade is one of our favorite designers. We loved this Kate Spade Saturday shape shifter dress that they picked. We love the simple back and white line design. It's simple but adds some whimsy. And the cutouts on the side are very popular in dresses this year! We think this dress would work perfectly for more formal events. And the basic print allows for plenty of freedom in the accessories department!

Looking to add more color to your summer wardrobe? How about this printed floral dress from the Gap? How fun! We love the loud, blue, yellow and white print! It's simple circle skirt and short sleeved style top is pretty standard among summer dresses. It's going to be something easy to slip on quickly and head out the door. We recommend accessorizing with a small brown or black  braided belt to add to emphasis on your waist. Add pair with a pair of brown sandals for a  laid back, casual look.

This dress is so beautiful! It's a gorgeous printed maxi dress by Diane von Furstenburg. We love the vibrant pink background color and abstract white design. If this doesn't scream summer, we don't know what does! Going somewhere tropical this summer? Wouldn't this be the perfect thing to pack along to wear to dinner? Wear your hair back in a messy updo, wear a pair of wedges or dressier sandals and you have one great look.
