Meet Angela!

Our big LA photoshoot with the amazing Ken Marcus is less than a month away. December 6th to be exact! That means an entire new collection of shiny latex is coming your way! And this year is going to be something special. Oh, you'll just have to see. Until then, we are beyond excited to introduce you to the face of our 2015 latex line!

Meet the very lovely Angela Sommers! Isn't she gorgeous?! We are all about her look and style! It will be our very first time working with Angela. And we are thrilled that she is modeling our brand new line of latex dresses! We can't wait to put her into our designs. We know she is going to look amazing!

Angela hails from Queens, New York. She has had many years of experience as a model and performer. She has even been named a Penthouse Pet of the Month! And she owns and operates her own website. Our big photoshoot is certainly the highlight of the the year! We can't wait to play dress-up!And this year's new line is really something special. We can't wait to share! But for now, it's top secret!

What a success!

After such a fantastic weekend and photo shoot, we couldn't help but feel a bit nostalgic! This week, we're bring you one of our favorite designs from last year's collection.

It's the Jezebel dress. How much fun is this flirty dress?! We totally dig this halter style dress! It looks good on a variety of shapes and sizes.

The piping adds some great flair! And of course, you get to pick the color. This dress can really be your own creation.

The plunge neckline is super sexy too. And we love the bow detail! And that ruffle along the bottom? Too cute! This dress is all about those small details. And remember that you can have this dress made to measure!

Well, our photo shoot this weekend was in fact a huge success! Everyone had such a great time and the photos are fantastic! Beautiful designs and beautiful girls! For now, you are going to have to take our word for it!

Meet Sophie!

With only four days left until our big photo shoot, we thought it would be a great time to announce our newest model! It's really is cruel to keep you all guessing. We simply can't make you wait any longer!

Meet Sophie Nova! We just love her beautiful red hair and pin-up style. As we mentioned before, it's our first time working with her. And we couldn't be more excited to have her modeling our brand new line of latex dresses! We can hardly wait to put her into our designs. We know she is going to look amazing!

Sophie has four years of experience as a full time model. Her wonderful list of credits go on and on. She had modeled with Jesse Leon and Lucky13, just to name a few. She has appeared in both Dark Beauty and Belle Morte Magazine. And she has worked with dozens of amazing photographers. When she says full time model, she really means it!

We are so pleased to have her with us. We're excited to see what she brings to the table! Please join us in giving her a very warm welcome to the Latex Store community! We hope to be working with her for a long time! And please head on over and check out her portfolio. Her work is so beautiful.

Saturday can't get here soon enough! We can't wait to see how our new dresses look on both our lovely models. All of the shiny stuff is on it's way to LA. And we're following right behind it! We can't wait to get there and get to work. Our new line is really something special. We can't wait to share! But for now, it's top secret!

Summer patterns: Gingham

We're in love with this sort of retro revival that's taking over the fashion world. Shows like Mad Men are bringing back some really classic looks. One of those looks is gingham. It's one of those basic and timeless patterns that really en captures summertime. Vogue collected some really beautiful pieces and we're sharing our favorites with you.

If Dorothy was to own a pair of sunglasses, we think she would pick these! How adorable are
these? Their shape is quite unique. The round lenses are really retro! And the gingham print is really fun. This is a really great way to spice it up and ditch those boring old shades!

Talk about a clash! We love the flair of this gingham bustier. Cute and sexy meet! This isn't just for the bedroom! This style top is super popular right now! it's okay to bear some tummy and let you hair down. Feel free to wear this to a concert or night out!

We would pair it with The Latex Store deluxe hot pants. It's going to be a great, sexy yet fun outfit! Pair it with some wedges and a cherry red lip for a really retro look.

Lips so luscious!

When you are wearing something like our Jillian, you're going to want to rock a bold lip! We're all about contrast! It's a good way to try out a new style and be bold! Life is too short to only wear pastels! Take a chance and be daring.

 If you're going to take the leap, you're going to need a long lasting lip color. You want your bright colored lips to last all day or night long. Luckily, we have few suggestions for you! Cosmopolitan shared some with us and we want to share our favorites with you.

You use a primer for your face and eye makeup. Why not your lips? We're are big fans of Too Faced lip insurance. We won't sport lipstick with out it! It keeps your lip color in place and makes it last all day long. Just give it a try! We promise you'll be hooked and wonder how you ever lived without it!

We are a huge fan of lip stains. The colors are so vivid and the lasting power is unbeatable. Urban Decay has an amazing lip stain. The formula has a great consistency. And when it drys, it's like you're not wearing anything on your lips. If you're not a fan of lipsticks or lip gloss, this could be the product for you!

If you're more traditional, a great lipstick would be perfect for you. We love the lasting power of the Maybelline SuperStay lipstick. The color variety is excellent! And the formula is so moisturizing. It's not drying like most lipsticks out there. This is a must have product for your makeup collection!

Summer Jackets

Jackets aren't just for fall and winter! We think it's a good idea to keep one or two light jackets in your closet during the summer. Summer nights can get chilly now and then. And as we transition out of spring, there are still a few cooler days here and there! Today, we're pairing some of Elle's favorite summer jackets with a few of our pieces!

We're in love with this classic motorcycle jacket. It can be found on the Neiman Marcus website. It's a really beauty! The white, taupe color is a great alternative to the standard black. The hardware is minimal and the structure is relaxed but defined. We're pairing this jacket with TheLatexStore.com Morgan dress.

We love the clash of the jacket with the straps on the bodice of the dress. It's a very bold, edgy look. Wear a bold lip and minimal jewelry. Let the dress and jacket do the talking!

We love that varsity style is making a comeback! This Letterman bomber style jacket from Topshop was another favorite! It's so much fun and makes us feel young again! You may not of sported one of these in high school, but you can now! We would throw this on top of our panel dress.

We love the mix of color blocked style of the panel dress with the varsity style jacket. We would roll up the sleeves of the jacket and leave it open. What a sexy, too cool for school look!

Get that summer glow!

Who doesn't love a sun kissed glow in the summer time? Many of us like to look tanned during the summer. However, laying out in the sun is a no go! It's ages your skin and put you at a higher risk for skin cancer. And professional spray tans can be very expensive!

Lucky for us, there are some great self tanning product out on the market. Elle shared their best self tanners and we found a few of our favorites we would love to share with you! Because face it, you don't want to sport this week's OOTW without a beautiful tan.

Tarte is one of our favorite makeup brands. We love their makeup formula which strays away parabens and synthetic fragrances among other things. They are really bring us great cosmetics and their Brazillance self tanner is no exception. The gel formula is very moisturizing and transfers the self tanner to skin very well. And the mitt that comes with the product is really helpful and prevents streaking. And no one wants a streaky tan! If you have dry skin, this is a great product for you to try!

Origins has some of our favorite skincare products. They are very natural and moisturizing. We really love this brand! Their self tanner provides a beautiful color. If you're looking for a bronze, shimmery look to your skin, this is the product for you! It applies like a dream and provides a beautiful color. And it smells orange and peppermint. Yum!

Not all self tanners are creams and gels. They also come in a towelette variety. This guarantees easy application and they are great for travel! You'll get through security and you won't have to worry about spillage. That's another worry off your mind while traveling! These Dr. Dennis Gross tanning wipes are wonderful. Not only do they apply tanner, but they also minimize hair growth. That's really helpful during the summertime. These pads make your skin feel great while providing a beautiful tan.

Punk and Edge!

We are really loving the edgier, punk style trend that seems to be taking over! Spikes, studs, acid wash and leather: we're all about all of it! After looking at the 36 pieces to channel your inner punk over on Elle.com, we were super inspired! You can mix up your regular and latex wardrobe with these pieces! Keep reading to see how we styled these punked out pieces with our latex pieces!

Check out this cool vintage inspired t-shirt! We love the faded, distressed look it has. It really brings that 80's punk style. A shirt like this would look awesome paired with our mini skirt with zip front.

We think it's a great way to dress up a basic t-shirt. The grungy look shirt paired with the silver hardware on the mini skirt really gives you a cool edgy look. Is this something you would try?

Bralets are back in and we think they are so much fun! This one from Top Shop is just our style. The edgy embellishments and transparent cut outs are really different. We would pair this top with our flirt skirt.

This ensemble is a little more daring than the previous one! We think it would be really great for a summer concert! Or even just a fun night out. We're going to be more daring this summer. How about you? 

Leather jackets are way cool! They really take us back. This one from ASOS is really something special. We love the classic cut and all the silver hardware. What a great staple for your closet! we would wear this jacket with our Jasmine dress. 

We love the clash of this feminine dress with the punky, boyish jacket. It's a really hot look! Wear your hair down and rock a bold red lip!

Get that cat eye look!

Did you catch our outfit of the week on Monday? What a head turner! And when your wearing something like the buckle vee dress, it's fun to sport a dramatic eye look. But you're going to need a good eyeliner! Elle just shared some and we thought we would share our favorites with you!

The Balm is an up and coming makeup brand. We love their products and retro looking packaging. They are really making makeup fun! Their schwing liquid eyeliner is a great product! We love the matte finish. And the thin tip allows for easy application.

NYX is a great drugstore brand. Their products are affordable and really great quality. We love their curve eyeliner. It's design allows for easier grip of the eyeliner pen. That makes cat eye and winged eyeliner designs much easier! And we love the long wearing formula.

M.A.C is always a staple for us. And their Penultimate eyeliner is no exception. We love the felt tip on this pen. It has two sides: one for smaller application and the other for wider application. It allows for both daytime and night time eye looks.

You know what looks great with our latex? Heels! They make you taller and make your legs look longer. Plus, what's more fun and girly than a pair of heels?

And if you're planning on attending Fetish Con in August or just plan on having a fun night out this summer, you're going to need a new pair. Come on, you deserve it! In fact, Elle just shared 28 beautiful pairs of pointy style heels we are just salivating over! So come on, let's pair up some of these beautiful shoes with our gorgeous dresses!

These beautiful coral heels by J. Crew really caught our attention. We're in love with the color coral for summer. Whether it be on the lips, fingernails or feet! It's a beautiful shade of pink. We're pairing these up with...

Our Chloe dress in turquoise! We think these two bright and summery colors would pair nicely together. 

Looking for something even brighter than those coral heels? Okay, you asked for it! Check out these neon yellow patent heels from Kate Spade. Neons are very in this summer! And we think these go best with...

Our Jillian dress! With heels so bright, it's good to go with a more neutral color. And the edgy style of the Jillian pairs perfectly with those wild heels. Can you say all eyes on you? Oh yes. 

And our third and final pick are these purple heels from ASOS. We love the geometric style of the shoes. Those clear cutouts are just too cool! We decided to be a little daring and pick... 

 Our Connie dress! Yeah, that's a whole lot of color. But you can totally pull that off in the summertime! And the lines on the Connie and the cutouts mesh perfectly.

Summertime Style: Dresses

What do you like to wear in the summertime to stay cool? Shorts? Skirts? We love both of those! But nothing beats a summer dress. They are great for casual days and dressier events. And chances are, you'll have all sorts of fun events to go to this summer! Weddings, dinners and vacations! You'll want to look your best. There are some great sun dresses out there for summer 2013. Let's take a look!

Just last week, Elle compiled a list of their favorite summer dresses. We love what they choose! Kate Spade is one of our favorite designers. We loved this Kate Spade Saturday shape shifter dress that they picked. We love the simple back and white line design. It's simple but adds some whimsy. And the cutouts on the side are very popular in dresses this year! We think this dress would work perfectly for more formal events. And the basic print allows for plenty of freedom in the accessories department!

Looking to add more color to your summer wardrobe? How about this printed floral dress from the Gap? How fun! We love the loud, blue, yellow and white print! It's simple circle skirt and short sleeved style top is pretty standard among summer dresses. It's going to be something easy to slip on quickly and head out the door. We recommend accessorizing with a small brown or black  braided belt to add to emphasis on your waist. Add pair with a pair of brown sandals for a  laid back, casual look.

This dress is so beautiful! It's a gorgeous printed maxi dress by Diane von Furstenburg. We love the vibrant pink background color and abstract white design. If this doesn't scream summer, we don't know what does! Going somewhere tropical this summer? Wouldn't this be the perfect thing to pack along to wear to dinner? Wear your hair back in a messy updo, wear a pair of wedges or dressier sandals and you have one great look.

New designs and Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend

Hey there, latex peeps! We hope you had a chance to check out our last post about our photo shoot. We're still really excited about over here. We're counting down the days until we can release our new designs for you all.

You better start saving up for a new latex dress or two because these designs are beautiful! True, we are a little biased but we don't think you'll be able to resist our new shiny stuff!

Here's a new bit of news! This one is for all the guys out there. We will be at Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend this year. It's going to be in Washington D.C from January 11th to the 14th. We're going to be bring a very large selection of product for all you guys out there. If you want to attend, check out their website to register. We hope to see you there!

Exciting weekend for The Latex Store!

You may or may not know but The Latex Store has a very exciting weekend planned! It's one of our favorite weekends all year long. Can you guess what it is?

We're going to LA to shoot our new designs! Yes, the wonderful photographer Ken Marcus will be taking some awesome shots of our newest line of latex. We're rushing around, doing last minute things and getting ready to fly out. All of the designs are finalized, made and ready for our beautiful models to slip into. It's all very exciting! We can't wait for you to see!

And if you just can't wait, you'll want to check out our Twitter page over the weekend. We're going to be live posting a few outtake shots from the shoot. It will almost be like you are there with us!

Our fabulous videographer is flying out with us as well. So, get ready for some exciting sneak peeks of what goes on during our photo shoot. We're just so excited and want to share with you all!

Back to School: The Basics

Summer is coming to a close. And yes, we're sad :( It's been really great with all the travelling we've done. We've really loved it! But, it's now the time of year where we turn to our closets and take inventory. It's time to decide what we need as we move into fall and winter. And a great place to start is with the basics! We thought we would share some latex basics with with you. Class is in session! It's time for a little schooling!

Leggings! Nothing gets more basic than that. They are such a versatile item for your latex collection. You can pair them with dozens of tops, latex or not latex! If you're just diving into latex, this would be an excellent buy for you! You're going to have a whole lot of fun styling with these!

T-shirts are always considered a basic, latex included! Guys, you have to add this to your collection. It's a great way to delve into latex without stepping too far out of your comfort level. A t-shirt is going to work with anything! 

You guessed it, the little black dress! Ladies, you know you own one. And you're going to need one in latex too. It's short, spaghetti straps, and black. How more basic can you get? Feel free to embellish: add heels, jewelry, or other accessories. Or keep it basic. Either way, you have to have this!

Thinking on upcoming travels...

And we are so excited! We are going to two really great places in July and August: Denver and Tampa.

First up, is Thunder in the Mountains. Will we see any of you there in just 15 days? We certainly hope so! And we will be vending of course! We'll have plenty of stuff. If you just got to try something on in person at this event (which we encourage and love!), go ahead and send in a request today or tomorrow. Feel free to tweet us or send us an email. It may be a little late, but we'll see what we can do!

And in August, there's FetishCon, of course! And if you need something to wear or you want to see something at this event, please contact us this week! It takes some time to complete orders and doing it early guarantees you'll have it when August 1st rolls around!

Till then, we're making off the days on our calendar! We just can't wait to hit the road again!

FetishCon is right around the corner!

And we're super excited! We have a little over a month and a half until we fly out to Tampa, Florida for this awesome event! Are you anticipating this event as well? Maybe you want to make this year super special by wearing one of our latex designs... just a thought ;) But, we do have some great products that would be a hit at this year's FetCon! If anything does tickle your fancy, you should let us know as soon as you can! In order to have your special order processed, made, and sent to you, we'll need your order in by July 4th at the latest. This may seem a little early but, we need all that time to make your order perfect! Plus, won't it be nice to have your outfit planned out a month in advance? I think so!

Upcoming travels for The Latex Store

Over here at The Latex Store we are recovering from our two weekends at both DomCom and International Mr. Leather. As we said before, we had a blast! Both conventions were great for The Latex Store! The best part? Getting to dress people up in the latex! We love seeing our customers in their new duds. It's really a treat. Oh how we love to vend latex!

And we're not done yet! We have some more events planned for summer 2012. In July, we are going to Denver, Colorado, for Thunder in the Mountains! And those specific dates are July 12th through the 15th. The Latex Store and our brother stores, TLS LatexGear and Midnight Blue's will be at this event. We're pretty jived about it!

And we will also be going to...drum roll please... Fetish Con!! We can't wait for August! This is a highly, highly anticipated event for us and many others! And those specific dates are August 1st through the 5th. The Latex Store and Midnight Blue's will be there. Check out our The Latex Store on the Road page for a full list of our past and future travel dates for 2011 and 2012.
