Transparent and sheer for the fall!

News about fall fashion trends is popping up everywhere. It's so exciting! We we're browsing Elle and found an article about sheers for fall. That's right, transparent and sheer style blouse, dresses and skirts are for the fall.

They we're seen all over the fall runways. We think it's a great way to transition from summer to winter. Of course, we're going to share our favorites!

We found the Thakoon Ribbed-Bodice-Sheer-Band Dress to be really stunning. It's a real spin on a classic black dress. We love the sheer fabric elements that we're added to this dress. The simple triangle of fabric covering the deep v-neck. And we're in love with that beautiful stripe of sheer fabric around the skirt. It's an excellent way to subtly incorporate sheer into your fall look. And it will always be in style.

This sheer Stella McCarthy sweatshirt is really cool. We love the athletic look it can give to an outfit. It's the perfect layering piece. Wear a bright colored dress or tank underneath for a fun effect. It's a great way to continue wearing your favorite summer patterns and colors into the fall.

Can you believe we already halfway through July?! Time really flies when you're having fun! Are we right or are we right? What haven't you checked off your summer to do list? Go to the beach? Check! Indulge in a sweet treat on super hot day? Check! Wear white? Oh, you haven't yet? Well, you're in luck. Elle found 50 white clothing items to freshen up your summer look. We picked a few favorites to share. Quick! Read on before we blink and it's Autumn!

Some days it's just too hot to fool with too much clothing. On days like that, we find a sundress to be be the perfect outfit to wear! You're going to stay cool while still looking put together! We fell in love with this sleeveless, collared white dress by Thakoon. It's small details like the eyelet lace and tie around the waist really are so simple and elegant. In the daytime, wear this dress with brown woven sandals and aviators glasses for a fun summer look. For night time, add a coral or gold statement necklace and a pair of flats. It's so easy to switch from a day to night look!

White works with all types of style. We think this skirt by Topshop has a great boho feel. We can see it being worn during the day with a crop style top and a long simple necklace. Or if you're out on the beach, use it as a cover up! It's going to look great paired with a basic bikini top! In the evening, opt for a sleeveless blouse and cork wedges. Add a fun messy up do and you're ready too head out to dinner! This gorgeous cut out skirt is really versatile!

The early days of Spring: What to wear

We’re not really sure what to think of March. Here in Houston, TX, our warm days are beginning to out number the cooler ones. But, some states are still getting snow and ice. Yet our calendars tell us that today is the first day of spring and our clocks have sprung forward.

We were just reading an article on Vogue.com talking about this awkward time as the season change and what to wear.  We’re all growing tired of coats and scarves; and we are aching for sandals and sun hats.  We will get there soon enough! Soon we will be wishing for cooler weather.

Take this time to wear those favorite winter pieces you adore but add in some spring pieces your dying to wear out. Pop your new sleeveless, button-down blouse under one of your favorite sweaters. And if you dare, mix some new spring jewelry in where you can. And of course, sneak in some bright colors. We think bright tights and scarves could really mix up your boring winter ensembles.

If the weather is right, you can even start to incorporate some spring skirts. Recently, Elle shared their favorite 32 skirts for spring. We think this floral pencil skirt from Stella McCarthy is perfect. Or if you crave a different style, this A-line floral skirt from Top Shop is great too!  Both pieces can be worn with tights on colder days and without them when the weather is right.
