Yet another excuse for a new pair of shoes...

We're heading out to sunny California today. Sunshine all weekend long! But for the rest of you... It's kinda chilly out there, isn't it? Now we are just being cruel! It might be a good time to invest in some warm clothing, don't you think? Hmmm? Okay. Let's face it... it just another way to justify buying a new pair of shoes.

Not just shoes but boots! Fuzzy, cozy boots perfect for the cold or snow. Chances are your life goes on no mater how cold or snowy it is outside. You have places to go and people to see! You need the perfect pair to drudge through this winter weather in. And look cute doing it ;)

My, my! Don't these Marc Jacobs snow boots look inviting? These have a more traditional, classic snow boot look. The insides are lined with a super warm and soft material. And outside material is weather proof! And we love the chestnut details. So classic, so cozy! Pair these with a capelet or a traditional pea coat with toggles.

We love those traditional duck boots! They are so classic and incredibly useful. They are just a great pair of boots. So, you can guess how excited we got by Sperry's take on that classic boot! Look at these! We love that they go all the way up the leg, giving you even more warmth. Finally a pair of snow boots for those of us who prefer taller boots! Pair them with your favorite raincoat or parka. What a sensible yet cute look!

So, bundle up and get out there! Stay warm and stay safe if you are facing any snowy, messy weather.

Coffee, buttons and bows!

This blogger got a real up close look at our photo shoot this year.  Yes, I was in the middle of it all. It was an amazing experience! From the view of the beautiful city of Los Angeles from Griffith Observatory to the inside of Ken Marcus's studio. Let me take you behind the scenes with me on our trip and of course, the photo shoot!

We had a early start on photo shoot day. We had to make sure there was enough time to grab coffee before heading to Ken's. Coffee is essential. As soon as we reached the studio, we had a bit of time to say hellos before it was time to get going. There was a clothing rack to set up, dresses to hang up and a whole dressing room to organize for an all-day shoot.

The Rachel really stood out on the rack. The style was something really different. Maybe it was the translucent latex? It was a crowd favorite! And it was one of the easier dresses to get on. Just remember to unfasten that button tab in the back. And the zipper down the back? It makes all the difference, I promise you.

Want to know a trick I picked up from our dresser Kimberly while helping dress Emily and Sophie? The more dressing aid you apply to translucent latex, the more see-through it will appear! So lay it on thick! Also, be mindful of those fingernails. Use soft fingertips and be really careful! A hole in a latex garment would be a disaster!

Creativity was the key this time around. We wanted to switch up hairdos every couple dresses. And we needed to keep the hair up to keep it out of the dressing aid. You may have guessed that it's not a good hair styling product. We all put our heads together and tried lots of different styles. Some flops and some not. Thank goodness we remember to pack those little latex flower hair accessories!

Here's one now in Sophie's hair! We got lucky that it matched up perfectly with the dress. This is the Charlotte! I call it a girly version of the mohawk. All business in the front and a party in the back! That cute bow in the back does need to be adjusted once you slip this dress on. Make sure the middle part is centered so the bow effect comes across.

This little dress looks basic but it's much more! The bow in the back and the low cut neckline give this dress so much more. It's a tight squeeze going on but once it's on? It fits and hugs every one of your beautiful curves. It was exciting to see this one in person!

Dom Con LA 2013

How's your week treating you? We're having a great one! We're settling back in after Dom Con LA! We had safe travels and an amazing time at Dom Con! We thought we would share some of our trip with you.

Day one at Dom Con! Woohoo! This is what our setup looks like. We told you we bring a whole lot of latex! We love displaying it all. So many styles and colors. We get a little too excited! 

And we had visitors! This is the lovely Julie Simone. We love her dress! Doesn't she look amazing? Thank you to everyone who came by our booth! We love visitors. 

We squeezed in some time for a meal with good friends. Yep, that's Ken Marcus, our wonderful photographer for our latest photo shoot! We had a great time and dinner was delicious! 

We love these ladies! Thanks for having dinner with us! 

And to top off this great weekend, we won an award! Thanks to the kind people of Dom Con LA for presenting us with the 2013 Ms. Velvet Memorial Award! Thank you! We are honored. 

It was a great weekend! Thank you to everyone who came out! And now we count down the days until next year! 

Spring and summer travel updates

Hey latex peeps! Are you having a great week? We hope so! We've been incredibly busy getting geared up for... Dom Con LA! We're so excited for this event! Keep reading for some more travel information!

 Yes, we will be at Dom Con in Los Angeles, California this weekend. We're packing up all our latex (Well, as much as we can bring!) and heading across the country to the west coast! This is one of our favorite events! We're so excited to share our latex with all of you, guys and gals!

Will you be attending? We sure hope so! Be sure to stop by and play! We can't wait!

Can't make it this weekend? Not to worry! There are lots of great events all summer long. Later in May, TLS RubberGear and Midnight Blue's will be at International Mr. Leather! And in July, The Latex Store, TLS RubberGear and Midnight Blue's will be at Thunder in the Mountains in Denver, Colorado. Also in July, we will be at Boston Fetish Flea Market! July will prove to be very busy for us! It will keep our minds off the heat!

And of course, we will be at Fetish Con in August. We're already prepping for the big event! You should too! If you plan on attending, make plans to do so now! We want to see all of you out there, having a great time! It's going to be a blast.

Happy Monday, everyone! How was your weekend? We hope it was great! Ours was very busy but so fun! Our photo shoot was very successful! We had a great time playing around in our new designs, take pictures and video! Our models were just fantastic and they looked amazing!

A posh dress for a night out on the town!

Good Evening, latex peeps! We are all out of wack and out of our normal time zone. It's been a busy traveling day but never fear! We haven't forgotten the outfit of the week!

This week we have been inspired by our trip to LA. It got us thinking.... what would we wear out on the town here? And we came to this conclusion....

Our Posh Dress from our own signature line! We love it! The collar lengthens your neck. But maybe your worried about how your going to squeeze your neck into it? Well, don't! It has snaps so, getting into this dress is.. well, a snap!

It hugs every curve and gives you a wonderful shape. As far as length, it's a good in between; not too short, not too long. It's really going to show off both your arms and legs! Flaunt it!

We love this light blue color! But it also comes in so many others! Take your pick. This is such a great basic dress. Dress it up or dress it down. The choice is up to you!

Monday after DomCon

Wow!! That's all we can say! The Latex Store had a fantastic weekend at DomCon LA. We got to see so many of our lovely customers and do our favorite thing: sell really great latex clothing! Because we are an online store we really cherish these events. It great to get up close and personal with all of our customers! We love you all and want to thank you so much for choosing us! It's a real honor!

And we get to do it all again this weekend! We're heading out to the windy city of Chicago, Illinois, with our brother store,TLS RubberGear for International Mr. Leather. We will be vending there the entire holiday weekend (Friday to Monday) and it's open to the public! It will mostly be pieces for our gentleman latex wearers but we will also have a few things for the ladies too! So if you'll be there too, please come say hello and see our rubber gear and latex in person!

Let's hear it for the boys!

Now, latex is certainly not just for the ladies. It’s for guys too! The Latex Store has an excellent selection of men’s latex clothing and accessories! And fellas, you get a little sizing advice too. When finding you size, you’re going to need a tape measure as well. Take your clothing off and measure your bare skin. That’s very important!

Once you get that measurement, go ahead and subtract an inch so you get some stretch! Here’s an example. Let’s say you want to purchase our latex tom suit. Because it is a full body suit, you’ll need a measurement for your waist. To get that measurement, you’ll need to put your arms to your sides. Now, find the bend in your arm. This is where your waist is. You’ll want to use that measurement to find your size. Use our size chart! There is also a link on the latex tom suit product page.

It's that time of the week! Here's the outfit of the week!

This piece is called the Bailey. It's part of our Latex Dreams Collection line of dresses. We will be bringing some of these dresses with us to DomCom in May. This dress has a really amazing fit.
