Florals for spring

We're a week away from the first day of spring! And we thought we would cover floral on the blog today. They are a no brainer for spring. And we hit the mother load on a whole bunch of cute, floral accessories. Here are just a few of our favorites.

Time to combine two of our favorite trends: floral and statement necklaces! We've seen some beautiful ones before. But this one takes the cake! We can't get over this piece by Topshop! We love the mix of pastels, vibrant colors and metals. You don't know what to focus on. It's a little loud but so gorgeous!  This will really make your outfit pop!

Who needs a new pair of shades? You do! And so do we... We pick this pair by Toms! We're crazy about the shape and retro feel of these glasses. They almost look like cat eye glasses. And of course, a pop of floral! Protect those peepers!

And we can't take on spring and summer without a tote! They are perfect for taking along with you on trips to the pool or beach. If you have lots of stuff to tote, this is the way to go! And we love this one by Gap! We love that large floral print. So eye catching.

We love the scattered use of floral on this dress. And the colors really pop against the black of the dress. We think this is a great way to wear floral in the wintertime. Pair the floral print with a darker color. 

If it's pretty chilly where you are, pants are a must. Skirts and dresses might not be warm enough. Not to worry! Check out these floral pants! A little wild but pretty neat, right? And they are this great corduroy texture. That means warmth! Pair them with a solid color navy, cream or black blouse. You have the prefect lunch date outfit!

Fall Grunge

And we're back to our regular scheduled programming. Wow! What a crazy last few weeks it's been! And it seems fall has snuck up on us while we we're so busy. Kids are going back to school and fall scents have come on the scene. Pumpkin, caramel and apple. Yum!

Elle has let us one fall trend that's sure to be super popular when the weather changes. Grunge! Yep, the late 80's, 90's grunge look is back in. Sweaters, Doc Martens and plaid. We're all about it. Check out some of our favorite pieces.

A plaid shirt is a no brainer for fall. They are so easy to layer. Perfect for those chilly mornings and warm afternoons. We love classic plaid, flannel coloring this shirt from La Garconne has. If you're really looking to embrace the grunge look, tie it around your waist. What a classic look! And it can easily be transformed into an evening look! Wear it buttoned up, with a cute, chunky statement necklace. Mixing these two styles is great way to grunge your own way!

You cannot embrace your inner grunge without a dress like this! We're in loved with this faded floral print jersey skater dress from Urban Outfitters. It's the perfect everyday dress for fall. It can be taken in so may directions. Add a really baggy tan sweater over the top of it. That's a really classic grungy look. Or for a more refined look, add a darker wash denim jacket. Pop on some fun combat boots to add a bit of today's style.

We had to feature these Doc Martens! How cool are these shoes? Don't worry. You can totally pull them off. They are actually really wearable. Try them with dresses, maxi skirts, shorts with tights and even tucked into jeans. Really! The floral print really adds a fun, feminine aspect to this tough pair of shoes.
