Rainy days are on the way!

Those spring showers are on the way! And we'll take them over all this snow. And after all, it's what makes the flowers grow! If you're going to be splashing in puddles soon, you might as well be properly outfitted! Here are few rainy day items that we have our eye on.

First things first! Rain boots are a necessity for a rainy day. Nobody likes wet feet! Try this pair from Modcloth on for size. They have that classic shape with a adjustable buckle on the back. We think they are so much fun! They will help you pull off a polished rainy day look.

You're nothing without a good raincoat! It's the only way to salvage your outfit. And you can really show off your style. Let's keep that classic style flowing. This Chloe trench coat is classic rainy day style with a little twist. We love all the little details like
the buttons and belt!

Let's go ahead and finish off that rainy day look. When you're caught in downpour, you want to be without this. An umbrella! You have to have one! We're rather fond of this one by Hunter. The bubble shape is fun and super effective when it comes to keeping you dry!

Snow bunny!

Has anyone else been paying attention to how much snow they are getting up north?! 77 inches of snow in Boston?! Those are some crazy accumulation numbers. Spring seems awfully far away, doesn't it? Let's just hunker down and get through these last 6 weeks of winter. Oh, you know the drill... new shoes!

Alright. A good pair of snow boots are essential, this we know. They keep your feet warm and dry. And they can look good too! Like this pair by Coach. They are a great sage color. Neutral but a little bit different! We're a big fan of the military vibe they are putting off. And they are Coach... need we say more? Yeah, didn't think so.

We love our Hunter boots for rainy days. What a great pair of boots! And now they are a snow day essential as well. Check out this pair! That shearling lining is going to be so soft and warm. And they are so durable. Love at first sight!

Check out this classic pair of boots by the North Face! Oh we adore them. A little chic, lumberjack style? Did we really just say that?! Anyways, that cable knit sweater material along the top? So great. All we need is a flannel shirt and a cabin.

Just a few more weeks right? We can do this!!

Rainy day fashion

I think we're all dealing with a little springtime rain. After all, it's what makes the flowers grow! If you're going to be splashing in puddles, you might as well be properly outfitted! Here are few waterproof items that we have our eye on.

April showers bring May flowers

You've heard it said before. April showers bring May flowers. And it's true! Spring means rainy days a plenty for most of us. But before you go splashing around in puddles, you'll want to make sure you have the right gear. Looking like a drowned rat is not in this season! So lets talk rainy day fashions.

A good raincoat is key. It's going to provide protection from the rain and save your cute outfit underneath! And there are tons of styles and colors out there. Elle recently posted on their favorite rainy day fashion.

One of favorites was this parka style coat by Michael Kors. If it's still chilly where you live, this style will really suite you. It protects you from both the rain and cold. And the blue is a great bright color, perfect for spring! It also has an almost military style feel that's really popular this season. It's a great basic jacket you can wear over and over again.

A trench coat is also a great option for rainy days. We love the classic old Hollywood feel they have. You'll feel like you're in Singing in the Rain! This one by Rhyme Los Angeles is great spin on the classic trench. We love the slouchy, comfortable look it has. We think it will work great for warmer days when a thicker, longer coat isn't needed.

We have covered jackets, now onto boots! You don't want to get your feet wet. We love the boots Elle choose. Our favorites were the Hunter original short gloss boots. This company is a classic. And their boots come in a variety of both  vibrant and neutral colors. We recommend wisteria for spring! It's a beautiful lilac purple that will really pop against those dreary rainy days.

We haven't forgotten the umbrella. For days that promise heavy rainfall, you won't want to be without one! Bubble umbrellas are very popular.
They provide even more protection from the rain. We adore the two that Elle shared! But, if you need to get one quickly, we've seen them at Target with different colored trim and handles.

We hope we have convinced you that rainy days are too bad. In fact, they can be fun and colorful! Rain, rain don't go away! We want you to stay and play!
